O holy Brendan navigator of sea and sky* In ascetic struggle and joy you led your life* Keeping steadfastly to the heading on the way to Christ* By your faith you overcame the storms of this world* And it was given to you to make landing* Where existence is perfect happiness* That is promised to all God's overcomers* You taught men that are on the earth* That they all must sail to Paradise* Letting go of the horizon of their small lives* To reach the ocean of Mercy* Where praise resounds to the Triune God* To the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Amen!
